Depression is one of the major psychological challenges facing almost every city in every country. According to WHO, the world statistics, Globally indicate that more than 300 million people suffer from depression and it is the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide and it has increased by more than 18% between 2005-2015 . It disturbs both physical and mental health of the person.
Depression is a common mental illness characterized by persistent sadness and a loss of interest in activities that people normally enjoy, accompanied by an inability to carry out daily activities. People with depression usually express anxiety, Panic Attack, or express anxiety disorder behaviour.
What causes Depression?
Trauma or a setback in life is usually seen as the cause for depression. However, emotions such as; fear, anxiety, and unfulfilled desires are also considered primary reasons. Deteriorating physical health or a worrysome physical symptom can also become the cause for depression.
People dealing with depression often receive prescription medication rather than treatment. Medication for this condition is addictive and produces its own array of undesirable side effects. This symptom is also considered a cause for diabetes, cardiac diseases and skin disorders.
Can you cure depression without medication?
Unless The symptom is acute and the person is unwilling to work with themselves, yes, depression can be cured without medication.
During our counselling sessions, we guide our clients to perform certain meditations and mental tasks which engage them in a positive way. This helps them get back to life safely, easily and quickly.
